With the recent news of Plymouth winning £9.5m from the National Lottery Heritage Fund to develop the UK’s first National Marine Park, and all of the fantastic activity and events happening in this vibrant sector in Plymouth, the University of Plymouth are thrilled to announce the theme of the upcoming Techstars Startup Weekend on Marine.
A global centre of excellence for marine, Plymouth is one of the largest clusters of expertise in Europe and consequently provides the ideal location and supporting opportunities for innovation and growth in this sector.
In collaboration with partners and experts across the strong marine industry base in the South West, this event will support and enable new and innovative marine based ideas to emerge and develop in Plymouth.
With this event, we'll be focusing on solving problems and filling gaps related to marine technology, renewables, cruise and leisure marine to boatbuilding, shipping, marine engineering and more...
