Salary: £35,210 to £37,340 per annum. Starting salary £35,210 per annum.

Plymouth College of Art is proud to be offering the successful candidate an exciting opportunity to manage and coordinate all aspects of the iMayflower Project’s Smart Citizens Programme (SCP). The successful candidate will take strategic and operational leadership, design and delivery of the outward-facing Smart Citizen Programme - a pioneering programme to upskill a broad range of citizens in digital design, advanced manufacturing and sustainable entrepreneurship.
This role is responsible for:

Meeting the agreed Smart Citizen Programme delivery targets, managing the budget and securing desired outcomes for both Plymouth College of Art and the wider iMayflower project.

Achieve high quality outcomes for all users and participants of the SCP, from beginners to advanced practitioners, start up businesses and more established SMEs.

Create lasting change in the city, supporting Plymouth’s creative economy that embraces digital skills, sustainable entrepreneurship and solutions to societal challenges we increasingly face.

Developing a maker culture that sees the emergence of new industrial, social and creative models to empower citizens and support balanced, inclusive growth in the city.
The Smart Citizens Programme Lead would manage three key pillars: Smart Citizens Education Programme, Digital Fabrication Facilities and Sustainable Design Initiative.
About iMayflower
The iMayflower project, supported by the Cultural Development Fund, focuses on sustainable growth in the use of digital fabrication and immersive media technologies across the city and region’s creative and cultural economies in order to unlock economic growth and productivity. The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport funds the Cultural Development Fund which is administered by Arts Council England
About you
We are seeking an experienced project manager to launch and deliver the Smart Citizens Programme. You have extensive experience in designing, developing and delivering complex projects with evidence of direct strategic decision making and planning. You will have experience of working in a complex, multi-agency or public sector environment and an awareness of and commitment to interagency partnership and joint service development, with a good understanding of funding reporting and output requirements. You will have experience of engaging, training and supporting communities and delivering public facing activity. You will have a good level of technical knowledge concerning 3D digital design processes and software, alongside experience of advanced manufacturing as well as a working knowledge of the Fab Lab facilities. You will have advanced communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate and relate at different levels effectively.
