Plymouth City Council is looking for a dynamic, positive, confident, and self-motivated, action orientated, highly IT capable project officer.

The successful applicant will undertake a key role in the delivery of the transformative ‘iMayflower Project which will support Plymouth’s creative industries and nurture creative economic growth during Mayflower 400 and beyond.

You will be working on the exciting iMayflower Project, which is a nationally funded, 3 year £6m project which will help Plymouth shout about and grow its culture and creativity offer.

The Project is separate to, but linked with Mayflower 400 which is a key ‘moment’ for the city, this project will develop a long term sustainable legacy.

iMayflower, delivered in partnership with some very high profile local and national organisations, will promote the city and provide skills and learning opportunities through events and community engagement; as well as supporting our creative sector businesses to grow and be more visible on a regional, national and international stage.

This Role sits within the highly regarded, supportive and delivery focussed Economic Development Team. The Team are directed on supporting growth in the local economy, creating jobs and developing Plymouth.

We are looking for an ‘all-rounder’ who can support the Project Manager in building excellent relationships with multiple stakeholders and be highly skilled in organisation and understanding of information, and reporting, it’s vital that you can set up and support systems which meet reporting requirements; you will work in partnership with the Project Manager to deliver this exciting, and amazing innovative project.
