£5,000 for digital companies building a creative economy in Plymouth

Date

To celebrate the launch of iMayflower, Crowdfunder with Creative England, Destination Plymouth, Plymouth City Council, Plymouth College of Art, Real Ideas Organisation and University of Plymouth is running a competition to award five creative digital companies in the Plymouth area £1,000 towards a crowdfunding campaign.

From immersive technology to augmented reality, if you’ve got a great idea for a new product, service or experience that you’re looking to take to the next level, Crowdfunder wants to hear from you and help make it happen.

Crowdfunding is about much more than money. It gives people a digital platform to validate creative ideas, raise awareness of new projects, and build lasting relationships with supporters. And it’s an innovative way to fund your start-up and grow your business.

Not only will the five winners receive £1,000 extra funding from Crowdfunder. Our expert coaches are on hand, ready to share their crowdfunding expertise and know-how to help bring the five winning projects’ ideas to life.

Dawn Bebe, Founder and Communications Director at Crowdfunder said, “We want to hear from anyone in Plymouth with an innovative idea that will have a positive impact in the City.

Crowdfunder is all about supporting creative ideas that tackle society’s challenges - and we want to support the best creative digital ideas in Plymouth with extra-funding and coaching advice.”

The competition opens for entries on Monday 27 January at 9am with entries closing on Monday 10 February at midday. The winners will be announced on Friday 14 February.

To be in with a chance of winning one of the £1,000 extra funding pledges, head to www.crowdfunder.co.uk/programmes/plymouth-creative-economy and tell us about your creative digital idea in no more than 100 words.
