PCH Manufacturing further expands workforce

Date

PCH Manufacturing has added four new members of staff to the workforce as they successfully expand into external markets.

Two new window fitters, a maintenance engineer and PVCu surveyor have been employed as we support industry in Plymouth following a successful year for the company.

The new members of staff join on the back of six new apprentices who were added to our business recently as we support people who want to learn a trade and work in a manufacturing environment.
Louise Turner, Head of PCH Manufacturing said: “To make two large successful appointments over the last few weeks has been fantastic for the business. We’ve added ten people in different areas which has been superb for team morale.

“It shows that we need staff to meet the demands of the business and that we are making positive changes to meet the pace of the orders coming in. It also allows us to teach apprentices and upskill current staff to ensure they deliver the very best products for our customers.

“The two window fitters we have employed actually came from another local firm which goes to show that PCH Manufacturing is an employer that people want to work for – something that was reflected in our recent Investors In People Gold accreditation. It goes to show that PCH Manufacturing has an important role to play in the future of industry in Plymouth.”

Richard Boazman joins us as a PVCu surveyor and said: “I have worked in installation for some large home improvement companies. I relocated last year from Gloucestershire with my wife and two children to enjoy living in the South West with all of its coastal life. When the role came up at PCH Manufacturing I jumped at the chance to work for a quality local manufacturer which has a social heart as all of the profits from PCH Manufacturing are reinvested into homes in Plymouth. The team have been nothing short of amazing since I joined.”

Josh Adams and Matt Brooks joined PCH from another local firm and have just completed their first week on the job. Matt said: “It’s been a lot to take in but it’s been great fun learning about PCH Manufacturing and the way we conduct our business. The team are really focussed on doing the best job they can for the customer and the atmosphere in the workshops is brilliant, I couldn’t wish to work with a better bunch.”

Steve Gallienne has moved from PCH to PCH Manufacturing as a maintenance engineer and said: “When the position came up at PCH Manufacturing I thought it would be a great chance to join a team that has a good reputation and that are focussed on being the best they can in the area. I am proud to be part of them and have already settled in nicely as everyone is so helpful and friendly.”
