BIT Group launches new IT, Cyber and Information Security apprenticeship service

Devon based BIT Group is offering a new apprenticeship service for anyone wanting to train and access the world of IT, Cyber and Information Security across the Southwest.

The twelve and twenty four month apprenticeship programmes will start in January 2022. In addition to time with an employer, BIT Training is offering the opportunity to work in their Security Operation Centre where those training will gain valuable industry experience that they can take back to their employers.

Ben Franklin, BIT Training CEO, says : “We are excited to be offering this new apprenticeship service from January 2022! We believe it’s a great opportunity for organisations to receive commercially led tech apprenticeships from a local innovative provider.

“All apprenticeships will meet the latest standards in IT, Cyber and Digital Marketing, including the commercial benefit of accessing to industry vendor certifications to accredit the individual learning to global as well as UK recognised certifications.

The programme offers an alternative route into the technology profession and opens the opportunity for organisations to level up and make it accessible to more people.

Ben Franklin adds: “We hope that by offering these commercial apprenticeships in the region it will help levy and non-levy paying businesses to drive diversity and inclusion by using the more accessible apprenticeship level 3 and 4 to engage a wider profile of people”.
