Plymouth City Council is inviting submissions for catering and concessions to sell food, soft drinks and alcoholic beverages at The Royal Marines Rehabilitation Triathlon and Armed Forces Day taking place on 22 and 24 June 2023 respectively.
Royal Marines Rehabilitation Triathlon – A triathlon like no other, athletes taking part will be both veterans and serving personnel who will show pure determination and commitment including Paralympian’s and Invictus Games competitors. The event will include a swim at Tinside Lido, followed by a cycle time trials across the Hoe and in surrounding areas, and then athletes move onto static rowing machines on the Hoe before crossing the finishing line. Footfall is expected up to 7,000 throughout the event.
Armed Forces Day – This is the fourteenth year that the city has hosted an Armed Forces Day with a footfall of approx. 50,000 throughout the event. Plymouth Hoe will host tri-service military and emergency villages featuring various static displays and activities. Below the Royal Naval war memorial there will be a large veteran’s village where approx. 80 charities and organisations will be located.
The Council is looking for a single offer to manage the entire franchise, with the rights to sub-let all or parts of the contract.
Proposals must be submitted on the forms provided and returned to Plymouth City Council via email catering.events@plymouth.gov.uk.
The forms must be received by us by no later than pm on Monday 27 March 2023.
